Why have the same old MetroCard?
Put your picture on it.
For a $2 fee, you can step into a booth and personalize away.
All revenue from MTAGS goes to promoting your art on the MTA.
An MTAG booth is what would exist if a MetroCard vending machine and a photo booth
had a very creative child. You will notice that the interface has been streamlined.
Let's say we insert a credit card. The interface assumes that you must want to buy or
refill a MetroCard. If you inserted a MetroCard next, then the interface would assume that
you probably want to refill that card with the same amount as before.
If this assumption is wrong, then you can hit the options button.
On the following screen, we initially see only the first row of buttons.
Once a choice has been made, then the second row of buttons appears.
Let's say that we choose an MTAG Card. The "Type in your MTAG number" option will make
sense later. For now, let's choose "Take a picture".
Once the picture is taken and approved, then the interface asks the user if they want to make the
picture public. If they don't, then the picture won't show up anywhere in the MTAG system.
Hit the "Purchase" button to buy your MTAG card.
Now, let's have some fun!
